Dental implants are the state of art technique to replace missing teeth. Implants are screw shaped titanium post surgically inserted into the jawbone and integrate with the surrounding bone tissue. This period of integration is approximately 2-6 months during which a temporary restoration or dentures can be worn.
Mini-Implants
Mini implants use the same method to integrate or become part of the bone. The only difference is the size. Mini-implants function as an artificial tooth root and can support a cosmetic crown or bridge, or can be used to secure cosmetic dentures to improve their retention.
